Invitation to the Men’s Health 25th Anniversary Party at the Mondrian Soho in NYC. Ornate design came from the hotel decor. Printed on metallic shiny paper and debossed, mounted on card stock. Designed with my Sr. AD Robert Slagle. Printed by Rosemont Press.

To promote the Men's Health article "125 Best Foods for Men" in the December issue, we decided to serve some of those foods around NYC to major media buying companies over a couple days. I designed and wrote the foods truck.

Logo for the Men’s Health National Sales Meeting which took place during an election year. Co-designed with Robert Slagle.

One of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on; Designing branded triathlon gear for Men’s Health employees and key advertisers when they compete. Co-designed with Robert Slagle.

For the month of April, we created "30 Days of Lacoste" for MensHealth.com. Together with Brian Boye, MH's Fashion Director, we shot 15 Lacoste elements and interchanged them to create a new outfit for 30 days. Items could be enlarged and elements could be seen alone. Direct links allowed e-commerce. Fashion photography by Nick Cardillicio. Still life by Robert Tardio.

Logo for the Men’s Health Urbanathlon, an 11-mile obstacle race. Co-designer Deborah Ferrell.

Every year, Men’s Health puts on the Urbanathlon. My department creates EVERYTHING for the event including all the advertising, promotion and sponsored content for the advertisers involved. Postcards, maps, eblasts, reminders, updates, training guides, instructions, medals, trophies, signage…yes, everything.

Twitter page for the Urbanathlon.

I designed the 100 foot x 8 foot wall which is the final obstacle on the 11-mile Urbanathlon course. I designed it then a painter in TX executed it.

One of my favorite projects ever. Designing the trophy for the winners of the Urbanathlon. Worked with talented art director Nicole Imperial to create these 8" x 8" pieces of 1/4" thick distressed metal, rusted 1/2" bolts and engraved lucite. Each trophy weighs 7lbs a piece. :)

For several years, the finisher and placed medals were designed like manhole covers for the Urbanathlon.

In 2015, the Urbanathlon medals were designed to allow for more information and shortened name. Design by my Sr. AD Robert Slagle.

Every year, we design free tshirts, premium race shirts to buy and Agency Challenge shirts for advertising agencies involved as a group…for three different cities. Here are a smattering of the designs. Co-designers Nicole Imperial, Robert Slagle, Julia Garrison and Deborah Ferrell.

In 2011, we created a TV “series” with three segments for NBC Universal cutting all the video footage we had from the event in three cities. I served as Co-Exec Producer/Co-Director on this.

At the end of the event, we produce a “recap” booklet for our sponsors and for future sponsors. My focus was to use the incredible photography we had taken in Chicago, NY and San Francisco and show off this event. Photography by Lew Harrington Photography, Mitchell Chan and Kalpesh Lathigra.

In 2014 and 2015, we produced individual sponsor recap books for the advertisers involved with the Urbanathlon.

My very first project when I got to Men’s Health was to design the tent used at a variety of events. Note the back wall which was designed as a step-and-repeat for photo opps.

Every year, Men’s Health holds a Grooming Awards party. This party took place at the Boom Boom Room atop the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District of NYC. The “burst” on the top of the invite mimics the gorgeous architectural light in the middle of the bar at the venue. It was imbossed with metallic gold into charcoal card stock. Printing by Rosemont Press. Co-Designer Julia Garrison.

Due to budgetary constraints, we took the logo and precision cut it out of bent sheet metal. Every year, we select a new color and finish.

Two years in a row, Men’s Health coordinated with local chefs in NYC and created a Cooking School for advertisers of MH. Kraft paper and raw twine were used for the theme. Recipes were provided in a custom booklet for all participants.

Print campaign for Old Navy Active clothing. I created/cast/shot a brand ad for them as well as a workout card insert that was perforated and placed in Men’s Health magazines.

I always wondered how I was going to write an advertorial about cereal. But after talking to Dr. Ivey, the inventor of Wheaties Fuel, it wrote itself. No BS, just cool stuff about how he made a good-tasting, tasty cereal. Kinda neat.

Who said advertorials have to be stupid and not interesting to read? If you're a dog lover, you'd be silly not to feed your puppy Eukanuba.

Designed the Men’s Health gift bags which we used for 3 years. The bag has real magazine cover lines used on Men’s Health magazine.

Custom Advertorial for The Art of Shaving.

After three years, Men's Health decided to relaunch BEST LIFE magazine. I worked with Creative Director/Fashion Director John Mather to create this intro piece for the advertisers.

This was a 6-page comp for HBO's Boardwalk Empire. HBO was looking to Men's Health for a big idea to launch Season 2 of their amazing series. Due to my background with ATOMIC, it was easy for me to design for 1921. I researched fonts and styles then wrote headlines and columns based on those currently in Men's Health.

For three months last summer, Men’s Health and Women’s Health created a program with fitness expert Chris Powell. I coordinated the extemsive print and video shoot and executed the print advertorials.

In January every year, Men’s Health and Women’s Health coordinate with the Aspen, CO chamber of commerce for their Winterskol event. Worked closely with my designer Jiri Seger on the logo and “recap” booklet.
